I’ve spent the last few years working right at the intersection of psychology, mental health, and real-life support. I’ve studied a masters degree in cognitive neuroscience, worked on research exploring how people think, feel, and connect, and spent years supporting young people and adults in education, mental health, and crisis settings. All of that shaped the way I approach Level Up Living.

I’m not here to give therapy or clinical treatment. My background is in understanding people, building safe environments, and helping individuals grow through evidence-based strategies. I’ve supported autistic young people, neurodivergent learners, and those facing social or emotional challenges, both one-to-one and in groups. I’ve also worked on the frontline as an emergency medical advisor, where communication, calm thinking, and safeguarding are everything.

I’m passionate about creating spaces where young adults can build confidence, social skills, and emotional awareness through modern, interactive methods. Games, teamwork, stories, creativity, and even coding become powerful tools when they’re used with purpose. Our sessions aren’t about pressure; they’re about connection, discovery, and giving people the chance to level up at their own pace.

About Richard Miller

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a strong focus on understanding how people learn, communicate, and build confidence in group settings. Alongside my studies, I worked as a Teaching Assistant, supporting learners with different needs and learning styles in both one-to-one and group environments. I’ve also worked within wellbeing and learning-focused programmes that used interactive and creative approaches to help young people develop confidence, emotional awareness, and social skills. My role involved supporting sessions, engaging participants, and helping create spaces where people felt safe to try, fail, learn, and grow.

Alongside this, I have a strong interest in data analysis, particularly in using data to better understand behaviour, learning patterns, and engagement. I’m interested in how evidence and insight can be used to improve experiences, measure impact, and support more effective decision-making in learning and wellbeing settings. I’m especially drawn to practical, hands-on learning that builds real-world skills such as teamwork, communication, problem solving, and self-belief. I believe people learn best when they feel supported, understood, and genuinely involved in the process.

My approach is calm, encouraging, and structured, while still being flexible and person-centred. I aim to create environments where people feel comfortable being themselves while being supported to grow.
